I recently joined a podcast to talk about something that has shaped my entire career: refusing to accept “the way it’s always been.” Wealth management has long been a male-dominated industry, and from the start, I knew I wanted to change that—not just for myself, but for every woman trying to find her place, her voice, and her power in this profession.
On the episode, I shared why I’m so passionate about elevating women in wealth—whether as clients, advisors, or leaders—and how my experiences as a CFP Board Ambassador, author of Women and Wealth, and the first female member of the Nasdaq Advisor Council have fueled that mission. Titles matter, but what matters more to me is using them to open doors for others.
We discussed the slow pace of progress in the industry and why simply getting more women in the room isn’t enough. Empathy, education, and communication are the real forces that reshape how financial advice is delivered. I also opened up about navigating a difficult corporate chapter, reclaiming my voice, and learning to lead with authenticity—even when it isn’t the easy path.
If you’ve ever felt underestimated or outnumbered, you’ll appreciate this conversation. Nothing has ever been handed to me in this field; every bit of influence I have today was built through perseverance and showing up again and again. I hope my story reminds other women that they can—and should—take the mic.
